A friend introduced me to Katie when she was pregnant. Katie and I slowly became friends and when she was in town she would drop by for a visit in my Studio. On the birth of her daughter, Snow, I invited them to come and be drawn by myself and my students. Having a Mom and her baby in the Studio was special for all of us. I loved being close to Snow and enjoyed her feeling comfortable in my Studio. Snow is adored and full of fun. There is nothing shy or unassuming about Snow she is larger than life and I wanted to paint her that way. She is painted in energetic reds, pinks and golden tones that radiate from the canvas just as Snow warms any room she enters
