To get to Lake O'Hara there are two options:  book a seat on the school bus through Parks Canada or walk the 12 Kilometers up the mountain from the parking lot.  We booked the bus; getting off the bus surrounded by trees we walked a few steps off the road and down a path to Lake O'Hara. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful colour of the lake, the sound of a waterfalls, the look of the pristine Rocky Mountains and the fragrance of evergreens in the air; it was pure magic.  This painting is in praise of the magic I felt at that moment of first seeing this beautiful alpine lake and setting.
