In 2007 I first showed Nuturers By Nature. The theme of this body of work was women being satisfied with who and how they presented; focusing on mother-child relations. A big part of this theme was the fecundity of the earth as seen through florals and asparagus. I showed these pairings in Armstrong British Columbia where many an asparagus farm thrives. To celebrate the farmers and their fields of asparagus I painted this series.
